Welcome Home Singer 99 from Wedding Dress Blue

On August 3 Husband said, “I saw an estate sale that looked interesting. Let’s go.” We wandered around, and I found myself in the basement, looking at a sewing machine. I don’t know about you, but I feel sad when I see lonely sewing machines, but, like puppies, I can’t give a home to all of them. In fact, I have never given a home to any of them. Ever. I have never purchased a sewing machine (unless you count a serger).

New Machine From Great Grandma from Wedding Dress Blue

The Pfaff 130 went to Washington state to live with Sparkle Jane. But, I do have backup. This machine belonged to my direct maternal Great Grandmother near the end of her life.

It hasn’t been used much. With a good clean and oil and she is as good as new. Dressmakers were made by Janome in the 50s and 60s, which is likely the era of this machine.

The corner is a little dark, so I found a thrift store lamp. The supply tray attached to the base is wonderful for tools and accessories.
